These terms govern your use of CAURATE (the "Service"), operated by CAURATE LTD (company number 17338190) ("we", "us", "CAURATE"), trading as CAURATE. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.

Who you are contracting with

The Service is provided by CAURATE LTD (company number 17338190), a company registered in England and Wales. Any agreement formed by your use of CAURATE is between you and CAURATE LTD.

By registering for an account, accessing, or continuing to use the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be of legal age to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

The Service

CAURATE lets you build and publish personal sites, pages, and subpages, upload media, and share your work at your chosen handle. Features available to you depend on your plan.

You must keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account and must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law.
  • Send spam, phishing, or fraudulent content, or attempt to deceive other users.
  • Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person.
  • Upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorised access, probe, scan, or interfere with the security or integrity of the Service.
  • Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content or data from the Service without our written permission.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service, or attempt to reverse engineer or circumvent any technical limits.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you upload or publish on CAURATE. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your content solely as necessary to provide the Service to you and to the visitors of your published pages.

You are responsible for the content you publish and confirm you have all necessary rights to it. We may remove content that breaches these terms or applicable law.

Intellectual property

CAURATE, its software, design, and branding are owned by CAURATE LTD and protected by intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within your chosen plan. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Payments, billing and refunds

Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance, depending on the option you choose at checkout. Prices are shown on our pricing page and may change from time to time; changes will apply to future billing periods.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms.

Please also see our Refund Policy for details of our money-back guarantee and how to request a refund.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you continue to have access to paid features until then. See our Refund Policy for money-back guarantee details.

Service level and warranties

We work to keep CAURATE available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from loss of data. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, present a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our policies. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and a chance to fix the issue.

You may close your account at any time. When your account is deleted, your content enters a 30-day grace period before permanent removal, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights available to you in your country of residence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date below and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of CAURATE after changes means you accept the updated terms.
